Alaska Elite Outfitters Lake Hunts for Moose
Experience the Adventure
Alaska Elite Outfitters offers an exhilarating lake hunt for moose, providing options for both guided and self-guided trips. These hunts take place in remote locations accessible by a Beaver airplane, departing from either Iliamna, Alaska, or Dillingham, Alaska.
Setting Up Camp
Upon arrival at the lake, hunters will set up a base camp, equipped with all the essentials needed for the duration of the hunt, which can be either 11 or 15 days. The 15-day hunt includes a combination of moose and brown bear hunting, while the 11-day hunt focuses solely on moose. Hunters will arrive a day before the hunt begins to set up camp and will leave the day after the hunt concludes, unless they are successful and leave early.
Provisions and Amenities
During the hunt, participants will bring in nearly enough fresh food to last the entire trip, supplemented by freeze-dried options for the latter part of the journey. Although the camp provides all necessary amenities, it is considered medium difficulty due to the physical demands, including hiking and rafting across the lake. The camps are well-equipped but not as luxurious as the jet boat hunts offered by Alaska Elite Outfitters.
Hunting Experience
Vantage points around the lakes, along with various call spots, make it easier to spot and call moose into close proximity to the lake. This proximity facilitates the retrieval of the moose by the Beaver airplane. The success rate for these hunts has been exceptionally high in recent years, with nearly 100% opportunity at harvesting moose with antlers measuring 60 inches or more.
Costs and Extras
The cost for the 11-day hunt is $36,500, which includes the flight in and out of camp. Although physically more challenging than the jet boat hunts, these lake hunts offer a unique and rewarding experience for those seeking an adventure in the Alaskan wilderness.
Embark on this thrilling journey with Alaska Elite Outfitters and create unforgettable memories with every hunt.
