By far the most difficult hunt physically, on a very steep terrain, the elusive goats are safe from other predators. Throw in the nasty weather and you have a good challenge in your hand, one more reason why you have to hire a guide to hunt these magnificent animals. Given their incredible eyesight, it’s always preferable to approach them from above. Remember that you have to draw to hunt a mountain goat on Kodiak, so contact me one year in advance.

The drawing deadline is December 15th, opening hunting date is August 10th. If you don’t draw a tag, we have a couple areas in the sound where we can guide you.
